I write personal essays, screenplays, short fiction, and creative nonfiction. Born in South Georgia, I attended the University of Chicago, where I read poetry submissions for The Chicago Review.

My work has appeared in Punctuate, Dorothy Parker’s Ashes, and the Spanish-language lit mag El Golem. My creative nonfiction appears on a biweekly basis in Laberinto, the cultural section of the Mexican newspaper Milenio.

Currently, I’m at work on a screenplay set to Disco and Mexican Rock n’ Roll, tackling the themes of family ties, mothers and daughters, and rebellion as original sin, a way to make and take your own steps in life.
